Description
The Canny Candy Gadgies Wor Tommy ‘1101’ Fudge
We named this fudge Wor Tommy, a homley raspberry and cream flavour fudge with red sugar crunch on the top and features on the front of pack our fabulous hometown statue of Tommy.
The sculpture’s official name is 1101, referencing the first minute of peace after the armistice came into force at 11am on 11th November 1918.
Created and designed by the local artist Ray Lonsdale, Tommy is displayed on the Terrace Green on the seafront in Seaham, County Durham.
The fudge is handmade using traditional artisan techniques, made in small batches, poured onto cooling tables & left to cool naturally. Once cooled it’s then hand scored, hand broken & hand packed.
A butter based fudge with clotted cream, freeze dried raspberry pieces, topped with a red sugar crunch.
